FAQs ABOUT GOJI100
1. Is Goji100 juice sprayed with any chemicals? (i.e. herbicides, larvicides, fungicides, etc.) Dr. Duncan: 100% no – absolutely not.
2. Is Goji100 juice organic? Dr. Duncan: Yes. Certified Organic? No. Most of the growing regions where we purchase our Goji berries from do not have the ability, at this point, to go through the organic certification process. We’re contacting the local regions in Western Mongolia and in the Himalayan region to begin the organic certification process. This should take us 6-9 months. 3. Are the berries grown wild or are they cultivated (farmed in rows created by man)? Dr. Duncan: Absolutely 100% grown wild.
4. Are the berries then “Wild Harvested”? Dr. Duncan: Yes. If they’re grown wild, then therefore they must be wild harvested. 5. Is there any damage done to the goji plant during our growing, picking or initial processes? Dr. Duncan: Absolutely not. We mandate that all berries are NOT to be picked, but the vines or bushes are to be shaken so that the berries drop into chemical-free sacks, which is the proper and traditional way to gather Goji berries. This is because it is believed that too much handling results in bruised fruit or energetic changes. We do, however, pick up any berries off of the ground that miss the sack so as to have no waste. There is no damage done to the Goji plant in any way, shape or form.
6. How do you keep bugs and unwanted critters from attacking or eating the berries or vines without the use of chemicals? Dr. Duncan: This is not a problem in nature. When the soil is rich and chemical –free, it produces powerful plants. Powerful plants have the ability to ward off and repel attacks and invasions from insects. Insects, bacteria, fungus’ or yeasts, feed off of the weak, the sick, the anemic and the like. This is a basic fact of nature. Very little can attack or damage an organic strong Goji plant or Noni plant.
7. Are your berries dried, frozen or fresh? Dr. Duncan: The berries are never dried or frozen. We use only fresh berries.
8. Can you explain your entire process, from the vine to the shelf? Dr. Duncan: Some parts of our process are highly confidential & proprietary. I will elaborate on what is not protected. As previously explained, our berries are shaken and dropped fresh when they are perfectly ripe into these non-toxic sacks. The full sacks are then placed into large, chemical-free wooden containers. These are then taken to a plant where the berries are placed in large, round wooden vats (much like a wine vat). About 6-12 hours later, the berries have softened and they are pressed using a smooth, round wooden “plunger”. The juice is then collected into a plastic vat and stored in refrigerated storage and prepared for shipment. It is shipped by boat in cold storage (NOT frozen but refrigerated at about 40 degrees) to the US. It enters customs, is quarantined by the US government, inspected, and tested for microbiological contamination. It passes the microbiological test. It’s released. Genesis Today takes possession of it and it is immediately shipped to our bottling facility. When it is received at our bottling facility it is tested for all active compounds (polysaccharides, etc.). We then begin our proprietary process and do more testing. The product is then prepared for a very well monitored, sophisticated, low heat, Flash Pasteurization process where the temperature reaches approx. 158 degrees for only a few moments. It is then cooled down to 100 degrees & 102 degrees where the product is immediately bottled, filled and sealed. The product is then tested, in-house, for microbiological contamination. If any is found, the entire batch is destroyed (NOT irradiated and NOT fumigated and re-used!). Once it passes inspection, it comes out of quarantine, several bottles are held back for FDA purposes where they are retained for many years. The rest of the product is released to the Genesis Today home office in Austin, Texas.
9. Does the Flash Pasteurization and the heat damage beneficial active constituents in the Goji berry? Dr. Duncan: Great question. Of everything, this was my greatest concern. Therefore I tested it multiple times. This sophisticated Flash Pasteurization process is so advanced versus the old, traditional pasteurization used in dairies and food manufacturing plants. The heat does damage some of the enzyme activity. The range is between 15% - 23% of the Goji berries. It DOES NOT damage the most important active constituents in this amazing berry or juice, such as the Lycium Barbarum Polysaccharides 1,2,3 & 4, or the amino acids, or the vitamins and minerals, or the novel compounds such as the Solavetione and germanium, etc., etc. 10. Is your final product tested for active compounds? Dr. Duncan: Yes. And we can provide you with copies of many of these tests, especially of many of the most significant ones, which identify things such as the Lycium barbarum polysaccharides 1,2,3 & 4. We are currently running multiple tests on the finished product and will continue to do so for years to come.
11. Do you use any preservatives in Goji100 juice? Dr. Duncan: Absolutely not.
12. What is the shelf life for Goji100 juice? Dr. Duncan: At this point we are sure, through accelerated shelf-life studies, that it has a shelf-life of 2 years. We expect to increase it over time. We will have more information on this within the next 12 months.
13. Is your Goji100 juice fermented? Dr. Duncan: No. 14. How much sugar is in GOJI100 juice? Dr. Duncan: As most people view sugar or think of sugar: NONE. However, the amount of naturally occurring sugar that is present in all fruits and berries (in Goji) is being tested now. We believe its going to be less than 2 grams per serving. We believe that it will prove to be very low on the glycemic index and we are certain that the naturally occurring sugars in this product are mostly components of the healing polysaccharides, therefore, do not feed Candida albicans, yeasts, fungus’, parasites, bacteria or virus’ and actually aid to destroy them. There is good clinical evidence that backs this up. 15. Is Goji100 juice safe for diabetics to take? Dr. Duncan: Absolutely yes. 100% of the time, across the board.
16. What is the best way to take Goji100? Dr. Duncan: The very best way to take it is 2 oz in the morning on an empty stomach, mixed with 2 oz of Noni100. Then another 2 oz of Goji100 mixed with 2 oz of Noni100, on an empty stomach in the afternoon. This makes what I believe one of the world’s most powerful “Super Tonics”. I believe this mix is the ultimate preventative.
17. Is Goji100 juice safe for children? And at what age? Dr. Duncan: Yes. It can be taken at the age when they can actually swallow. The dosage would be up to ½ oz per day to 2 years of age. Then, up to 1 oz per day for children of 5 year of ages and more liberal thereafter. WHAT DOES THE GOJI BERRY CONTAIN? The goji fruit contains polysaccharides, specifically four that are quite unique (LBP 1, 2, 3 and 4), which have been demonstrated to strongly fortify the immune system. These same polysaccharides have been found to be secretagogues, that is, substances that stimulate the secretion in the pituitary gland of human growthhormone(hGH), a powerful innate anti-aging hormone.
Pure goji juice is the richest source of carotenoids, including beta carotene (more beta carotene than carrots), of all known foods or plants on Earth! Goji is a powerful antioxidant and is traditionally believed to fortify the body against disease and to provide the energy to overcome difficult obstacles in healing. Beta-carotene can be transformed into vitamin A under the influence of human liver enzymes.
Being rich in trace minerals, goji juice contains significant amounts of zinc, calcium, germanium, selenium and phosphorus, plus many other novel compounds, such as solavetivone, not found in other foods or plants.
The more we delve into the history and scientific research conducted on goji over the past several decades and the historical use over the past 3,000 years, the more one realizes that this small but powerful berry is worthy of trial and further investigation. HOW MUCH GOJI JUICE SHOULD I DRINK? You will receive benefits from as little as 1oz. a day of our 100% pure Goji Juice. 1 oz.(one serving) of 100% goji juice contains 30,000 mg of pure goji. Our goji juice comes in a 32 oz. glass bottle; a 1 month supply. You can take up to 3 oz. or 4 oz. a day if you like. See recommended doses for certain health problems.
